Introduction

Our company observe lots of beauty salon are using a system called WEMS B2B to manage their data. But we heard some users are not satisfied on using this system while they need to cope with multitasking situation. Because they think the system response slowly, so that may affect their working progress. Therefore, our company want to rebuild the system. Also, develop a brand-new app which sync with the system that can help lots of beauty salon stakeholder to manage their business easily.

The main purpose of this project is going to develop an app which can help beauty salon to manage their business easily. In this app will separate four modules which include Client, Booking, Sales and Staff. Each module will provide an easier way for a business owner and their staff to manage business data.

Our Research

In our research, we interview two users, which are the beauty salon owner and staff. They claim that they are used to the operation of the system, so they don't want to have too much change in operation. But they also felt that the lack of a mobile app on the old system was slowing down their work. For example, you can use the mobile app to bill directly when you are helping a client with nursing care, and the client only needs to pay at the counter. There can also be a tablet app that allows guests to register and sign directly. These actions will greatly improve their work efficiency. Therefore, our company want to base on this system to build up a brand-new system and associate with an app to help the user manage their business anywhere.

Problem Statement

Sarah Cheung is a beauty salon owner who needs to track on her staff working progress because most of the time she is not able to manage her staff and business data at store.

Problem Statement

Irene Chan is a beauty salon staff who needs an app to help her multitask and a faster response web platform system because she got too many task to do. The web platform system is not able to let her handle multiple task at the same time. Also, The WEMS B2B system response time is too slow, and it will affect her working progress.

Pain point

Pain Point 1:

WEMS B2B system was build up in around 20 years ago, the process of using this system are quite complicated

Pain Point 2:

Now the target audience only got a web platform system. But they may want to have a mobile platform to let them manage the data anywhere.

Pain Point 3:

Target audience were using the WEMS B2B system since they are lunched. Therefore, the flow can not have too many changes. It is because the habit of the target audience got used to WEMS B2B operating procedure.

Solution

Pain Point 1 Solution:

We decide to rebuild the web platform system. Most of the function will keep and maintain the same as the old system. Also, the system will react faster than the old one.

Pain Point 2 Solution:

In this Project, We decide to build up a mobile platform for use also. That can let them manage their data anywhere.

Pain Point 3 Solution:

Most of the operating procedure will keep, and some operating procedure will become easier to use.

This page displays an overview of member profiles. In order to protect the user's commission, only the members related to the user are displayed, and the Admin can view all

Simple and Fast Booking Function

After the user selects the date to check first, the system will display the appointment overview of the day.

In the overview it will show: Care Number, Care Name, Member Name, Responsible Employee, Payment Status, Appointment Status

Swipe left to pull out the appointment status button, the user can press the status button to adjust the appointment status

What I Learn?

After a series of user research, I feel that this project allows me to better understand the operation mode of the entire beauty industry. Because I have never been exposed to this type of industry before. For example, the appointment function, when I have a rough idea of the operation process in my mind, it turns out to be completely different from the actual operation. So this taught me to think about the operation process of the whole system from the user's point of view.
